VISC 205 SOCIAL MEDIA JOURNALS OBJECTIVE:â€‹Many visual communications jobs are expanding to include social media. If your boss came back from a conference and asked you to set up a company presence on the social media network thatâ€™s currently all the rage, could you do it? Thatâ€™s what this assignment will challenge you to do.
Make sure to include the date on each of your journal entries. Each dayâ€™s journal is worth 10 points for a total of 50 points.
DAY 1â€‹: Set up your own Twitter, Pinterest and Instagram accountsâ€‹. You can make it @visc205studentbirnell. . Find a minimum of 20 brands or personalities to follow on each account. Possible options include your favorite clothing company, your favorite actor/actress, your favorite restaurant.
JOURNAL ENTRY: Spend some time looking at the posts from the accounts youâ€™ve followed and then write a brief journal entry documenting your initial impressions of each platform. (Minimum one paragraph).
